Under 16's Match Report - 10th December 2006
(Home against Rochford)
Score: 6 - 22
Brett Smith get The Wildcats psyched up before the match like they had never done before,greatly impacting the play, and Rochfords claim to put 70 points on Canvey!
Straight from the kick-off, Canvey ploughed into the opposition, and after two quick penalties, Jack Chandler kicked between the posts within 2 minutes of the refs whistle.
Canvey defended well, forcing Rochford to spill the ball on numerous occasions. This lead to a large number of scrums, which Canvey majority dominated.
Eventually the magnificent Rochford Full Back made a run and scored between the posts.(converted)
And the score stayed 7-3 until the half time whistle, where numerous Canvey players defended with passion.

The second half started just like the first, with a continual surge from both sides, but as both teams kept exchanging the ball, emotions did flare on a few occasions, yet luckily no one was sent off from either side
Rochford managed to extend their lead by 5 points which was minimsed when Jack Chandler slotted 3 through the posts.
Now knowing that a converted try from Canvey would draw the match, both teams started to pump the adernaline up, but unluckily for Canvey 2 unconverted Rochford tries sealed their fate.
