Under 16's Match Report - 30th October 2006

Score: 54 - 0
Although the score suggest that the Wildcats got a hammering, it was not as bad as it seems. The boys came up against a very good Upminster side that has been together for a few years.
The lads had periods in the game when they put Upminster under pressure, especialy in the forwards. Unfortunately we could not get quality ball to our backs and Upminster were very good at offloading in the tackle and support play, something i'm sure will come to our team in the near future as long as we keep training and learning.
Already this season we can see improvement in the lineouts, rucking and mauling and the backs when getting ball are begining to look promising.
Allthough the score does not suggest it, our 'never say die' attitude and tackling could not be faulted. This was from the whole team but special mention must go to forest, chandler and shaun in the backs; luke lanza and b.a stav in the forwards. Stav for his total commitment throughout the game, getting man of the match.
