Canvey went to Beccles, made up due to unavailability of a team, with 7 under 20 year olds in the squad and come away loosing 30-7.
Canveys cause wasn't helped when they lost skipper and no8 Alex Breading and center Jack Davison due to injury in the first 15 minutes.
Beccles scored 35 minutes into the first half when a Beccles player caught an attempted kick over their heads and run in to score a converted try. They then kicked a pen just on half time to go into a 10 - 0 lead. The second half Canvey put pressure on beccles for a fairly long period, before full-back Jay Bedford scored and converted a try.
With another injury Canvey had to reshuffle the team and eventually the more experienced Beccles began to take control running in 3 trys and a pen in the last 10 minutes of the game.
